THE SEY SISTERS
The Sey Sisters is a spectacular trio of voices that, through soul and a pop style steeped in African sounds, come together with the aim of fighting injustice, defending human rights and conveying hope for the future.
These three sisters of Ghanaian descent combine their voices in vibrant harmonies accompanied by contagious rhythms that are the vehicle to claim their place and their identity as Afro-descendants.
Live they are pure emotion and energy and, accompanied by the pianist and saxophonist Albert Bartolomé, they complete an exciting circle of good energy and fresh air that moves the soul and stirs consciences.
Since their creation as a group in 2006, they have performed at different festivals in Catalonia and Spain and collaborated with multiple artists, both national and international. In 2015 they released their first album “Let Freedom Ring” (Temps Record) and in 2018 they released “Rise” (Satélite K), their second album with which they consolidated their place within the Catalan music scene and began to make their way in the rest of the state. This 2021 they present their third album ‘We got your Back’ (Satélite K).
It’s Dub, Downtempo and Techno reverberating far beyond the boundaries of the genre. It has a vibe of summer reggae, but it doesn’t sound like another chapter of this good old story. It’s great and extremely danceable at the same time. It has ingenious lyrics, but it’s the sound, one that JPattersson discovered and designed inimitably. Inspired by the heavy bass lines, bike rides and Caribbean iddims, the sounds of chocolate, vintage groovebox and the carefree bustle of street children, the young talent offers a style that is mostly progressive and diverse. Some tracks come with a sublime touch of Balkan sound, others with a jazzy air. Between melodies ranging from tropical intoxication to hypnotic depth, you can hear one thing above all else:
Musical love for details. By doing what feels right, JPattersson has successfully defined his own genre.

Jazzomingos Jam-Sesion is a Jazz Jam Sesion held every Sunday at the legendary Cabanyal club. There is nothing better than 27 friends. Its forerunner was the great musician Toni Beleguer, who with the confidence and complicity of the club’s owners, managed to establish and make Jazzomingos a space where great jazz musicians from the local, national and international level came together to perform. of each session a sublime act.
Mar i Jazz arises from these meetings and from the need to bring this initiative to public spaces. After a year of silence, Mar i Jazz returns and this time it offers us a Great Jam Session where the magic of the improvisation of the great participating musicians will make this a special session.
A Jam-Sesion is an informal gathering of musical improvisation. Although over time it has spread to all types of music (rock, blues, reggae, funk, hip hop, latin, classical, etc.) its origins were informal gatherings of jazz musicians who played, for their own enjoyment. , an unheard of music from the 1930s.
A kind of music laboratory where the main melody is usually played in a group and then each musician improvises on it. The peculiarity of these sessions is that there are no limitations and you can improvise with complete freedom, allowing yourself to confront techniques, styles and ideas, and take risks with innovations, unlike what happens in studio sessions or concerts.
At Mar i Jazz we continue to bet on this free spirit of the jam-session to share it with the public in a public space where jazz and improvisation will delight our senses.
The musicians who will be the basic support for this Super Jam-Session are:
JULIO FUSTER / JAVI PÉREZ (Double Bass)
BERTRAND KIENDZ / RICARDO VALVERDE (Guitar)
PERE MUNUERA / VICENTE ESPÍ (Drums)

Balkan Paradise Orchestra
Balkan Paradise Orchestra presents BPΩ Tour, their new show.
BPΩ is a unique and unrepeatable formula, a concert full of magnetism (B), power (P) and endurance (Ω).
In 2022, the members of the Balkan Paradise Orchestra want to share a show with their most genuine collective energy. They combine all the music and partying they have to transmit a brutal force in constant motion.
The BPΩ Tour formula is the essence of the band. An essence in its purest form based on magnetism (B), which causes the audience to be shocked and unable to stop dancing; in the power (P) of his choreographies and the sound of his instruments; and in the physical resistance (Ω) they have to give it their all and transmit their music.
With new singles and many surprises, Balkan Paradise Orchestra presents its most international tour that will take them to the main festivals of the peninsula and Europe and promises not to leave anyone indifferent.
